A Message from the Board

Players, Parents and Families,

We hope your summer is going well. It was great to see all the players out for a full Spring season. Clearly everyone was ready to get out and play, with player numbers on par or even above seasons in the last few years. We also had a successful Memorial Day tournament, and some good weather to go with it, a nice return to normal after having to cancel the 2020 tournament.

The club is actively planning for the Fall Season, with our usual inhouse, MRL, and advanced CSA league teams. Starting this season, the club will be implementing a pay structure for coaches, with seasonal payment increasing as player age increases, and for more competitive leagues. The goal is to recruit and retain more experienced coaches for the longer run, which in turn delivers a better experience for our players. We have seen this first hand in the last few years, with longer term coaches building teams that have been competitive and successful in CSA's Centennial and Champions Leagues, and players and parents who appreciate the opportunity to advance the players' skills and teamwork against a broader range of competitive teams.

Our coaches make a significant investment of their personal time, and it's time for the club to recognize and reward that dedication. At U10 and up, coaches often  spend 10-15+ hours a week during the season at practices and games, and many dedicate 1-3 additional weekends bringing their teams to tournaments for additional playing experience.

The club has increased fees this season to help fund coaches pay. The increase is minimal for the younger age groups where players are often trying out the sport. The increase is greater for the advanced league teams and older age groups that require more commitment and resources. Our registration fees remain less than what most clubs in the state charge, and we will be increasing our scholarship funds to help families as needed to cover registration costs. Please do not hesitate to apply if that gets your players on the pitch. Applications can be done entirely online. The following discounts are also available to encourage early registration and support families with multiple players:

 - $10 early bird registration discount (available before 7/25)

 - $25 multi-player discount for each additional registration

Please contact Hailey or Travis with any questions.

Best regards,

Paul Riciputi, Board President

John Partch, Board Vice President
