Advanced League Teams


Registration to these teams is by invitation only. Teams competing in the Advanced League will require travel beyond the western slope, to Denver, and as far as Cheyenne or Pueblo. These teams demand a high level of commitment from players and families.
 
Practice Schedules -Practices will begin mid-late February for advanced league teams.
  • Trainings will be conducted between 3 and 8pm - Training times will be picked by each team’s coach
  • Advanced league teams will train three times per week
Games
  • Potential travel time for matches may be 2-3+ hours to Denver, Cheyenne, Pueblo, etc., depending on what other clubs are in the division
  • Each team will have an 8-9 game league season
  • Play dates for Advanced League teams include: March 12, 19, 26; April, 2, 9, 16, 23, 30; May 7, 14, 21, 22 (these are dates when games may be scheduled)

Age Groups:
Age groups are designated by birth year. For example, u11 & u12 players (birth years 2010 and 2011) can play together in the u12 age group.
  • U11 (2011-2012) - Fee $300 + $10 non-refundable deposit
  • U12 (2010-2011) - Fee $300 + $10 non-refundable deposit
  • U13 (2009-2010) - Fee $350 + $10 non-refundable deposit
  • U14 (2008-2009) - Fee $350 + $10 non-refundable deposit
  • U15 (2007-2008) Fee $350 + $10 non-refundable deposit
  • U17 (2005-2007) - Fee $450 + $10 non-refundable deposit
  • U19 (2003-2005) - Fee $450 + $10 non-refundable deposit

In-House & MRL League Teams

The in-house league is only an option for the u10 age group. All u12+ age groups will participate in the MRL or Advanced Leagues.

  • If you are registering a u10 player, please indicate your preference for MRL or the in-house league during registration.
  • The in-house league may require travel from Aspen to New Castle.
  • The Mountain Region League (MRL) is western slope specific; it may require travel as far as Moab, Telluride, or Pagosa Springs depending on the teams registered in the division.


Practice sessions for MRL and in-house teams will begin mid-March.

  • Season Dates: March 14-May 25
  • Training sessions will be conducted between 3-8pm. Training times will be selected by each team’s coach.
  • Teams will train two times a week and will play games on the weekends.
  • Play dates: 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7, 5/14. 5/21. 5/22, 5/25 (these are possible game dates; games will not be held on all of these dates).


Age Groups:

U12 Mountain Region League (MRL)
Players born 2010-2011; Girls or Boys
Fee - $275 + $10 non-refundable registration deposit
Location: Gates Soccer Park
Practice Days: TBD + Games on Saturday

U15 Mountain Region League (MRL)
Players born 2007-2009; Girls or Boys
Fee - $300 + $10 non-refundable registration deposit
Location: Gates Soccer Park
Practice Days: TBD + Games on Saturday

U19/High School Mountain Region League (MRL)
Players born 2003-2007; Girls (fall) or Boys (spring)
Fee - $300 + $10 non-refundable registration deposit
Location: Gates Soccer Park
Practice Days: TBD + Games on Saturday

Rosters & Practice Schedules: Practice days and times are not yet assigned for these groups. Coach/roster assignments and practice schedules for the spring 2022 season will be confirmed as the season approaches. 

  • This program is made possible by those family members who volunteer to coach each season. Practice days and times for each team are set based on coach availability. When teams are created, players will be placed on a team with a schedule that best matches preferences indicated during registration.

Developmental Academy

U6
(Players born 2016-2017; Coed)
FC Glenwood's Academy Director leads large group sessions on Friday afternoons for six weeks. Young players are introduced to the game of soccer and specific skills through imaginative play. Parents are welcome (and sometimes asked) to assist and play along during sessions. 

Fee $65 + $10 non-refundable registration deposit
Location: Sullivan Park Soccer Field
Dates: Fridays - 4/8, 4/15, 4/22, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13
Time: 4-5pm OR 5-6pm (please indicate your preference during registration)
Start Date: April 8
End of Season Jamboree Date: Saturday, May 14
Players wear play clothes - No gear necessary.

U8 (Players born 2014-2015; Coed)
Parent coaches facilitate sessions 2x/week for eight weeks. Saturday game days and an end of season Jamboree will provide this age group opportunities to put their skills to the test in game situations. Games are 4v4 or 5v5 and do not include goalkeepers. 
  • Players are placed on rosters of 8-10 based on practice day preferences.
  • Teams will be created primarily based on schedule preferences indicated during registration. Coach preference will be considered secondarily.
 
Fee $110 + $10 non-refundable deposit
Location: Sullivan Park or Sayer Park
Season Dates: March 21 - May 14
Practice Days: Mon/Wed OR Tues/Thurs (please indicate your preference during registration)
Game Days: 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30, 5/7
End of Season Jamboree Date: Saturday, May 14
Players wear play clothes. A jersey will be provided to each player. Cleats are optional. Shinguards are required.

Summer Programs

This is a coed program for players born 2008-2013. REGISTER NOW TO SECURE YOUR SPOT! All registrations for summer soccer programming in the Valley will go through the Roaring Fork Valley Soccer Club website. You will be able to login to the website and register with the same username and password that you use for the Glenwood Springs Soccer Club website.

This summer, FCG and RFVSC are offering three 4-day summer camps for passionate soccer players interested in having fun while developing their technical skills and tactical awareness.  The Summer Academy will be organized and run by Director of Coaching (DOC) Travis Yoakum!  All position players are welcome, including goalkeepers. Full and half day options are available. Full day campers will have a supervised 60 minute lunch between the morning and afternoon camp. 

2022 Dates and Locations:

  1.  Camp 1 - June 13-16 @ Crown Mountain Park (Basalt)
  2.  Camp 2 - June 20-23 @ Sullivan Park (Glenwood Springs)
  3.  Camp 3 - July 18-21 @ Crown Mountain Park (Basalt)


Pricing:

  • Full Day (9am-4pm): $230
  • Half Day (9am-12pm OR 1pm-4pm): $120

Uniform Ordering

Players in u10+ age groups must have a GSSC uniform for the season. The uniform is the same as was used for spring 2021. New players must purchase a full uniform kit. Returning players should replace uniform items as necessary.

All pieces of the uniform for 10u-15u can be purchased HERE.
 
Uniform kits consists of Red Jersey, White Jersey, Navy Shorts, Navy Socks

All pieces of the uniform for 17u-19u can be purchased HERE

Uniform kits consists of Blue Jersey, White Jersey, Navy Shorts, Navy Socks

Sizing information for the uniforms can be found HERE.
  • Adult sizes are mens cut and sizes
  • Turn around time for the uniforms will be a couple of weeks - so order them quickly!
  • The cost for a full uniform kit is approximately $80 + shipping cost

When ordering your jersey, you will be required to enter a jersey number. Assigned jersey numbers can be found HERE. If you are not on the list, please contact Hailey Bird to be assigned a number.
